Sprouts with Lemon and Pine Nuts

Add a zesty, nutty kick to your sprouts this Christmas

Ingredients

  • 650g (1lb 50z) sprouts
  • 1tbsp olive oil
  • 4 rashers of streaky bacon
  • 2tbsp pine nuts
  • Zest of half a lemon

Method

  1. Steam the sprouts until tender and drain. Halve the larger sprouts.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan, add 4 chopped rashers of streaky bacon and fry for 2-3 minutes. Add sprouts, 2tbsp pine nuts and the lemon zest. Cook until nicely coloured.
