We were engaged to convert a building of c.7,000 sqft into three duplex apartments with a desirable interior that could set it apart. We drew our inspiration from the idiosyncrasies of the building’s 19th Century Flemish façade, its grand architectural proportions as well as the elegant private gardens flanking the property. Each apartment was designed individually, driven by its existing layout and intended look and feel. A palette of neutral, organic materials was combined with locally crafted bespoke designs and carefully sourced antiques. Collaborating with artists to create site-specific designs such as lampshades, rugs and paintings provided further opportunities for unique creativity.
