Abbie de Bunsen
Enthusiastic yet deeply professional, Abbie de Bunsen delivers chic, refined interiors majoring in luxurious finishes, with occasional bursts of daring colour or modern geometrics. ‘I believe good design can stimulate, comfort and excite the spirit,’ she says. Abbie is justifiably popular among her design conscious international clientele, and a whizz at mixing twentieth-century antiques with curated art. She’s great fun, too.
Abbie studied art history, which was followed by a stint at Christie’s. She went on to be a director at Grant White Design for 10 years, working across luxury residential, hotel and restaurant projects. She launched her west-London interior-design practice in 2009.
Abbie’s tight-knit team of four is working on a 200-square-metre Grade II-listed house near Ascot, private residences in St John’s Wood, South Kensington and Hampstead, and a gallery in Bond Street. Her own furniture collection, inspired by mid-twentieth-century design, launches this year.
