John Stefanidis

Summing up his philosophy, John Stefanidis asserts it is ‘comfort for the eye and the body – genius loci, innovation and exploration’. It’s no surprise. Widely regarded as one of interior design’s greatest creative talents, and with a world-class reputation, John has always focused on careful thought processes, culminating in a sizzling vision for each and every job.

Egyptian-born and Oxford-educated, John established his architecture and interior-design practice in Chelsea in 1967. Now with a host of acclaimed international properties behind him, he continues to design startlingly beautiful, jewel-coloured homes for his impres- sive clientele, working on a consultancy basis. His design blog, The Developed Eye, is a passion.

Recent and current commissions include: a horse stud and flat in Newmarket; a newbuild house in Portugal; ongoing projects in Portofino; a farmhouse in Tuscany; improvements to three houses in England, the Gulf States and the US; and a private box at Ascot.
