Swedish-born designer Martin Brudnizki made his name designing some of the starriest bars and restaurants worldwide, from Soho
Beach House in Miami to Le Caprice in New York and Scott’s in Mayfair. He also undertakes sophisticated private homes for super-league clients. ‘I listen to the client, understand their needs and tailor the design to how they live,’ he says. Look out for sharp tailoring, a confident colour palette and a heightened sense of scale.
Martin studied interior architecture and design at the American University in London, establishing Martin Brudnizki Design Studio in 2000. Today, the interior architecture practice numbers 60 staff at studios in London and New York. In 2014, he launched a lighting collection with The Urban Electric Company.
In 2014, Martin completed The Ivy Market Grill, Daphne’s and Holborn Dining Room in London, a large house in Holland Park. Currently in progress are a country house in Gloucestershire and large-scale, luxurious private homes in London’s Soho and Covent Garden, and also in New York.

‘I adore Nina Campbell for her use of colour and pattern. I’d love to see what she would do with my sitting room.’
