Mlinaric, Henry and Zervudachi

Despite its world-class reputation, MHZ constantly works to raise the bar, creating beautifully executed private homes, retail spaces, galleries and hotels internationally. The MHZ philosophy is simple, yet focused: ‘To seek the essence of the client’s character and combine that with the location and style of the property.’ These are sparkling interiors designed for the global jet set.

David Mlinaric established MHZ in 1964. Though retired from the company now, he continues to act as a consultant for long-term clients. Today, Tino Zervudachi (above right), Hugh Henry (above left) and Jason Roberts head the London office, which has a staff of 17, while Tino also leads 14 more in Paris.

MHZ’s ongoing design work includes: houses in London and the country; a house in Maine in the US; an apartment in Paris; a gym in central London; a traditional house in Beijing; homes in Munich, Ibiza and St Tropez; and a chalet in Klosters. The decoration of the Regent Porto Montenegro hotel was recently completed.

Industry recommendation

‘MHZ places an emphasis on understated, harmonious design and decoration, creating beautifully refined architectural interior-design projects. Its work uses an eclectic collaboration of colour and style,’ says Kate Haggie, project manager at de Gournay.
