The designer of choice for luxury alpine properties, Nicky Dobree specialises in chic chalets across Europe. She works for a host of discerning international clients and aims to ‘create timeless, elegant and comfortable homes that complement the personality and lifestyle of each client’. The look is smart, mixing modern detailing with traditional vernacular and combining expertly chosen natural materials with a dash of luxe.
After studying modern languages, Nicky retrained in interior architecture and design, then worked with Taylor Howes. She set up her design practice in 2003, and she has designed and built in all the leading ski resorts, including Verbier, St Moritz and Klosters in Switzerland, and Chamonix in France.
Nicky and her team of five are currently working on chalets in Méribel and Val d’Isère in France, and Crans-Montana and Saas-Fee in Switzerland, a villa in Munich. They recently completed a Surrey country house, chalets in Switzerland and France, and a London house.
