Paolo Moschino

Award-winning designer Paolo Moschino (left), together with Philip Vergeylen, the head of the Paolo Moschino for Nicholas Haslam design studio, turns out sophisticated interiors that are recognised globally. The look is elegant, with the occasional whimsy of hot colour, a dash of leopard print or scaled-up accessories. There is a vast range of elegant own-brand furniture, lighting, accessories and fabrics, along with carefully sourced antiques.

Italian-born Paolo studied science before moving to London. He bought Nicholas Haslam in 1995 and, in addition to the thriving interior-design studio, runs two London retail showrooms and a Chelsea Harbour showroom. There is also a trade office for own-brand collections, supplying the design industry worldwide. Belgian-born Philip had a successful career in marketing prior to joining Paolo in 2008.

The team is masterminding the architectural and interior redesign of multiple private houses in Holland Park, Belgravia and South Kensington, and designing the interior of a family home in the South of France, an apartment on Park Avenue in New York, and country houses in Sussex and Hampshire.
