a client’s style DNA, Staffan
Tollgard is firmly established as a
serious international designer. He
twins interior-design commissions with sourcing
contemporary furniture, lighting and accessories
for his London showroom. His rooms are unfailingly
glamorous, with a confident sense of scale.
After a stint in the film industry,
Swedish-born Staffan trained at the Inchbald
School of Design and set up his architectural interior-
design practice in 2005. At his SW1
studio and showroom, he is the creative director
of 15 designers, technicians and decorators
‘infused with a collaborative and creative ethos’.
With a lively mix of private homes and
commercial developments, the team majors in
a modern-classic style. Ongoing work includes:
a villa in Riyadh; several listed houses in
London; a newbuild in Berkshire; an Arts and
Crafts refurbishment in Esher; and a listed
building in Belgravia. Staffan launched a rug collection for JAB Anstoetz in 2014.
