After more than 30 years in the international
design world, Veere Grenney
is still riding high. Fusing iconic
mid-twentieth-century designs with
antiques, muted colours and crisp tailoring, his
interiors are always serene and tasteful. ‘I believe
in appropriateness for the place, architecture,
style and what the clients need,’ he says.
Veere trained under Mary Fox
Linton and went on to become a director at Sibyl
Colefax & John Fowler. He launched his own
SW10-based company in 1997, which currently
has a team of 12, along with successful collections
of furniture, wallpaper and fabrics.
Residential projects include the refurbishment
of a town house on New York’s Upper
East Side; the complete restoration and rebuild
of a Swedish manor house; two Grade I-listed
Nash houses in Regent’s Park; and a modern
duplex apartment in Tel Aviv.

‘Can you redesign
and install this bathroom by tomorrow?’
