Virginia White

As she is an art historian, it is unsurprising that Virginia White defines her work as ‘mostly driven by the placement of art’. She is a charismatic designer with a clear passion: she takes her time, painstakingly seeking the perfect antique and often helping clients to purchase new art. She calls her style ‘modern-eclectic and very British’.

Virginia trained as an art historian and worked at Sotheby’s, before retraining as an interior designer. She worked with John Stefanidis before starting her own company in 2001. The Virginia White Collection of furniture launched in 2012, and she also sells exquisite fabrics.

Virginia is working on the rebuild of a house in Highgate, she is the consultant interior decorator for a property in Oxfordshire and has been buying art for a modern Swiss house. She recently completed a house outside Zurich.
